Simply B&W

Droitwich Camera Club is delighted to welcome Chris Upton with his talk called “Simply Black & White” on Monday 6th January 2025 via Zoom.

Chris is a professional photographer, based in Nottinghamshire (UK), specialising in Travel, Landscape and Social Documentary photography.

He is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and was proud to have been a brand ambassador for Fujifilm for eight years.

This talk showcases some of his favourite B&W photographs, and I’ll talk about his 7 tips for successful B&W images.

In these digital days he is drawn towards the simple beauty of monochrome which strips away the confusion of colour and asks us to appreciate the light, tone, texture and detail in our images.
